Welcome

Welcome to Holiday Haven

Creativity. Organization. Tradition.

Year-round holiday and vacation organization, using creativity, and traditions to make the most of the holidays without stress. Having been a stay-at-homemaker for ten years I have developed a system for the holidays that's full of tradition, fun, and is stress free. To use this system start with the Year- Round Holiday Calendar below. Make it your own, add small changes as needed to fit into your schedule, include your loved ones birthdays, anniversaries and any other important dates. It does not matter when you begin, just jump right in and start marking the dates from the date you begin. And then follow this blog for lots of creative ideas, crafts, decorrecipes, a little history, vacation ideastraditions, a bit of trivia and free printables. And if I get brave, maybe some gardening.

The Year-Round Calendar has moved to its own page! See it in the top menu bar or click here:

Thanks for this fabulous calendar! It will definitely come in handy for me and my family.

I'd like to make a suggestion for January. It's really important to sort the ornaments and make sure they're stored safely and securely, in an organized fashion. This way, they don't break or go missing before next Christmas.

Also, it's really important to write the history of each of the family heirloom ornaments and store the history with the ornament. This way, future generations will know the significance of each ornament.

Great suggestions! I will make sure to include them in the January 2nd post when we pack Christmas up! Thank you for taking the time to comment, suggestions like these make this site better for everyone. :)

I can't believe so many people clean Christmas up so fast. Maybe because they start so early. My stuff stays up until after the Epiphany which is next Sunday.
What's the big hurry?
Happy New Year.
