These are just too fun.
After making snowman pancakes I just had to
try this out.
Homemade mashed potatoes,
peppercorns,
carrot,
and bay leaves.
My first try turned out a little smooshy so I turned it into a penguin.
My second try, not too bad.
Third time is a charm. They are really easy. The result: smiles at the table.

We love mashed potatoes in our home too. I should try this, it looks like a lot of fun making "mashed potatoes men"!
Oh my gosh, they are adorable! I was thinking of writing a post asking for creative meal/snack ideas, but it looks like all I need to do is visit you more often! :)
Thanks for stopping by my blog! This is such a creative idea! Great job :)
Ooooh, I love them...what a really CUTE idea! Thanks for coming by today...hope you have a FUN day!
Blessings,
Linda
Too cute! Do you use regular mashed potatoes? (Or do you make them stiffer by adding something -- or leaving something out?)
Those are just too cute, can't wait to surpise my kids with this one! Thanks for the great idea!
Deborah... they are just regular mashed potatoes (baked russets, butter, milk). I did make them just a little stiffer than I normally would, but they are so easy to do that any home made recipe should do. I don't use instant potatoes, so I am not sure if that would work or not. And I shaped them using spoons as I do not have the right kind of ice cream scoop. If you try it you will have to let me know how it goes!
And Christina... :)
Oh would the kids especially love these- so cute! You did a good job!
I came over to visit today from "A Doctor in the House" blog. Your blog is lovely. I will be back again to browse and visit soon!

Awww, those are so great! Mashed potah-tohs are always a hit at our house.
Yep! Definately going to do this with our boys. Looks like fun!

Those snow men are TERRIFIC. I bet there were big smiles at your table! How do you think of all these great ideas?!
What a cute idea. I wonder if it would make my husband like mashed potatoes??? I love them and he just tolerates them. Maybe this would do the trick...
Oh,these are a hoot! Now I'm sure this would be a way to get the kiddies to eat their potatoes! Well, I have to admit it - I'd eat my little snowman potatoes too! These are just so darling!
be a sweetie,
Shelia ;)
How adorable are these!
:)

These were great! I have to try them with my four-year-old. Winter months are a great time to get the kids in the kitchen.
