Los Cabos

A snowbird vacation for all of you wishing for warmer weather right now!

Los Cabos is the name of a region at the very tip of Mexico's Baja peninsula off of California. "Los Cabos", or "The Capes" in English,  encompasses the area near two towns; Cabo San Lucas and San Jose Del Cabo.

  

We stayed in the Westin Resort which is located on the beach of the Sea Of Cortez between Cabo San Lucas and San Jose del Cabo. This resort had a couple of  restaurants, shops, day spa, amazing pools, a swim up bar in the pool, night time events, and it is right on the beach. We never needed to leave the hotel except to visit the nearby towns which were full of fun little touristy shops.

 Cabo San Lucas is a town with a vibrant nightlife and boasts establishments such as Cabo Wabo Cantina, owned by Sammy Hagar. It is a busy tourist town with street vendors, and the hustle and bustle of a big town.  

San Jose Del Cabo has a 'old town feel' and is geared more toward the upscale, laid back, tourist with tours, golf, and other activities. I really loved Cabo San Lucas.

Tips before going: apply for your passport early as they take some time to process and make reservations for activities early as these fill up quickly in summer months.
