February's Shopping Bag

February's Shopping Bag
 (a few suggestions)

Heating oil, green firewood, fire place kits
-As the seasons begin to warm up the price on heating supplies goes down. Depending on your area the lowest prices on these things will probably be either this month or next making it
a wonderful time to stock up for next winter.

Gardening supplies - Stores are stocking up will often have sales this month.

Clothing - As the stores change over from winter to spring, the winter clothing goes on sale. Plus sales are often held on spring clothing to draw people into the store.
(Plus it is nice to have just a new thing or two for spring, but maybe that is just me.)

Root vegetables (for hearty meals as we close out the winter season)

Pears, avocados, grapefruit, kiwi fruit, and sprouts are either in season or cheap.

After Valentine's day sales.

Presidents day sales.

Ski, Snowboarding, and other winter sports supplies are often on sale this month.

Flowers - If you like to decorate with flowers this is a great month to find a wonderful variety. After Valentine's day, both cut and potted flowers, can be found cheaply.

Vacation needs such as luggage and specifics such as scuba gear, or a passport, or just a new canteen for hiking,  whatever you might need for any vacations you are taking this summer.

Will you need to change over from snow tires soon?

What do you like to buy in February?

Note: every month I feature a few ideas of things to buy for the month. Such as fruit that is in season, helpful things for holidays, and deals to look for. These are meant to be helpful suggestions only. Every budget is different and buying something that is not within your budget only adds to stress, no matter what it is. These suggestions are meant to help you save time and money, while adding to enjoyment of the season.
