Candle Holders Decorated with Sea Glass

Ever wonder what to do with sea glass?

To make these you need sea glass, hot glue, and a candle holder.

Attach the sea glass to the candle with a small drop of hot glue,
fitting them together like a puzzle as you go, until it is mostly covered.

Real sea glass, if you are in an area where you can find it, provides the best result as it has different shapes, thicknesses, textures, and occasionally letters.

I wasn't sure what you meant by sea glass, but figured it was pieces of glass found while walking on the beach. Went to Wikipedia to read more about it. Very interesting. I'm wondering if it's rare to find sea glass since most items comes in plastic now. Candle holders decorated with sea plastic wouldn't have the same look. I live only a few miles from the shores of Lake Michigan. I should get out there and see what I find.

I live near beaches, we find it all the time still. I think as long as they make beer bottles out of glass we will have sea glass, and sea plastic is just scary! :) I have seen sea glass sold in craft stores and craft sections of larger stores. Don't think you will find it on lake shore as it needs the waves and sand to smooth the edges. Although, it might make a great excuse to go to the lake ;).

oooh, I bet the candlelight is just awesome in real life! I used to have some sea glass from when I lived in Okinawa, hmmm Must go look, but first I'm hoping over to see your Memorial Day ideas! Thanks again for linking up to my Prior Lives Party... you still have four days, if you come up with something else. Lezlee

Love sea glass, we collect it when we go to the coast and I use it in my projects all the time. LOVE your candle holders, the light shining thru the glass is just beautiful. Very clever.
