May Decorating ( & decluttering )

With a family of five, I spend most of my time cleaning and usually leave decorating to the holidays. In May with all of the sunshine and flowers outside I can't help but want to redo a few things.
This is the main living room window in my house as it looks all winter long.

In the spring I take off the valance and then I add a few more sheers. With the added sheers we can leave the window open to let in the sunshine while still keeping our privacy.

Dogwood flowers are some of my favorite.

Now onto some decluttering:

I bought my son a reading lamp (and took mine back).

Added a book stand to help him keep track of the book he is currently reading.
(By the way, Donita K. Paul books are awesome fantasy books with great values if you are looking for a great series.)

I discovered this little sticker on his bed railing, not sure where he got it, but I thought it was cute.

Downstairs in the Kitchen we have a little counter that just seems to collect everything.
So I put out this sign:
"This is a clutter FREE zone!
Thank you,
 -The Management

You've probably guessed that I'm partial to boys, so I luved seeing the photos from your sons room. Phillip is younger than your son, but he was crazy nuts about yu-go-oh cards for a while and he also likes anything to do with dragons. The snore sticker photo is my favorite. Too, too precious.

The nightstand looks super and the lamp is perfect. I know he will enjoy it and you will too. Love the little sign on the counter. The front window looks just lovely with the lighter sheers. I love the sunshine comeing through. Hugs, Marty

So, is the sign working? I think I'll put one on my Beloveds desk. I'll let you know the results.

The sign is working! Although, I think I was the one doing most of the "cluttering". And it made everyone laugh, so it was a hit.

This nice weather does make you feel like cleaning, doesn't it? Nice job.
