A walk through my garden

Just a quick little look at what is blooming in my yard, come, take a walk with me. I am so thankful for Summer and flowers!

These Calla lilies were given to me, I have them in a shady spot which keeps them from spreading everywhere, but we still get enough to enjoy them.

I love buttercups. I know they are a weed, but they remind me of childhood so I let a few grow.

Our first cherries. I planted this tree 6 years ago and it is bearing fruit for the first time for us!

Look at how tiny this fawn is, knee high to its mom. They stroll through our yard almost everyday.

This foxglove is almost as tall as I am!

Funky purple flower is the name I have given this one. I have no idea what it is. Anyone know?

Lupine!

Peas are blooming this one is about 4 foot tall now.

Queen Anne's Lace, it too is a weed, but I love the accent, and it is easy to pull when it takes over, so it stays.
Raspberry flowers.

I do not know the name of this one, but my mom tells me it is rare and native.

Blackberries, I have trained this vine over our wood shed, my mom (who is a wonderful gardener) is shocked every time she sees it, but she never complains when I bring her blackberry jam :)

I love the fact that you have those lovely weeds in your yard. They are every bit as pretty as some of the ones that we work so hard to get to bloom. All of your flowers are GREAT!

OH NO!! Buttercup is a weed?! I've been trying to cultivate them in my garden lol. We too have deer in our yard, how do you keep them from eating everything you plant just as it is coming into harvest?

Bachelor Buttons! Blue and funky describes them well. I love lupine. one of my favorites and your deer must be a daily treat for you. I hope they don't feast on your gardens.

Welcome to Bloomin' Tuesday! I have buttercups everywhere! All my gardens and the lawn. I let the wild flowers (weeds) grow especially in my 'wild' garden. Looking forward to seeing more of your bloomers. Jean

Just stoppin by from Bloomin' tuesday. Your flowers are beautiful, however the deer would make me a little nervous that they might eat something like my garden. Anxious to shee what you are going to do with your cherries.

Thank you for sharing all of your blooms! The little purple plant is a Centurea plant, from the Bachelor Button family.

Beautiful flowers! I also let the Queen's Ann's Lace grow in my gardens for the same reason. Reminds me of visiting my grandparents on their farm in Maine when I was a kid - they grew everywhere there.
