A little "cottage", a little "formal", and quite "whimsical" this garden belongs to my mother who is a wonderful gardener.
All along the driveway.
This is a delicate ground cover that can be found throughout.
The path to the house.
A hosta.
The neighbor's hydrangea poking through the fence.
The strawberry garden.
With alpine strawberries, they are small and flavorful.
Moss and rocks.
A lavender walk.

Jessa Irene, You captured a lot of beauty in your mother's garden. The bed along the driveway is so pretty. Love the ground cover and the moss and rocks too, and what a pretty hosta! Also wanted to let you know I posted a link to your blog in my 7/22/2010 post at Food As Art. Have a great day!
Hugs, Beth
Your mother is someone I would like a lot. I know that from seeing her plants.
Wish I had a neighbor to provide me with beautiful hydrangeas poking through the fence.
The moss and rocks photo almost looks like a painting. I'm a big fan of moss. It fascinates me.

Gorgeous! Lisa~
Can your mom come to my house? I love gardens, but in the desert they are difficult to maintain. A garden here is one with proper rock placement ;-) How fun to have a greenthumb in your family. I can grow a veggie garden, but only at considerable effort and expense. I do it though because it brings me joy. Hope you are having a great day!
What a beautiful garden! Love the foxgloves poking around tne fence!
