Vacation Idea #28 ~ Raspberry U-Pick

WISH i was on HOLIDAY
Summers on Holiday Haven
- Vacation Idea #28 -
U-Pick Raspberries

We weighed our empty containers, and followed the signs,

The raspberry picking has begun.

All for the love of these little berries.

Look how intense he is!

We all have fun.

Even the littlest one.

One secret is to make sure everyone has their own container...

...so we can wander off just a little if we want.

The views at this farm are amazing.

This is their u-pick strawberry field.

When we are done we combine the containers and take them again to be weighed.

16 lbs. of Raspberries total!
(And it made 17 jars of jelly. HERE is my raspberry jelly recipe.)

Going to  Graysmarsh Farm is a summer tradition for us. A great site to find a u-pick in your area is PickYourOwn.org. Select your state and then scroll down to see your county. There is great info. on there as well about corn mazes and other fun farm activities. (I am not affiliated with these sites, just sharing them for fun.)
Tip: Sunscreen! Raspberries are picked when the sun is shining.

Wow! That is a lot of raspberries! I love going to u-pick farms and used to take the boys with me when they were little. Although, I think sometimes they ate more than they put in the baskets!

Ahh! I just want to take huge handfuls of those for snacks. :) I need to find a U-Pick place around here. Though I'd bet the only thing I could pick is dry leaves since rain hasn't come lately. Can't wait to see what you did with them.

Go to the farm with my family for a good time to tell you that's ^ ^
17 to 16 pounds to take the basket is held to speak? It does not seem to interpret.
