Summers on Holiday Haven
- Vacation Idea #30 -
Visit a Reptile Zoo
Need something a little different to do? How about a reptile zoo.
Amazing and educational.
See the cute baby turtles?
A some interesting bugs too.
A chameleon.
Through glass my camera could not capture just how amazingly emerald green this snake is, the color was beautiful.
I am sure he was friendly, he had a smile.
Loved the color on this one too.
This snake is coiled around her eggs.
And there were photos of people holding this one.
(Notice there is no photo of ME holding it)
We watched the snakes and alligators eat, which I thought would be awful, but was surprisingly, tolerable. And I realized that snakes are beneficial because they eat mice helping to keep the mouse population in check.
A great site to find Reptile shows, events, blogs, and a lot more is ReptileChannel.com. Look at their menu in the left hand column to find things near you.
Our trip was to the Reptile Zoo in Monroe, Wa.
And while there, in the back corner of the parking lot, you can find this cute school bus diner!
Order at one bus.
Eat in the other.
(I have no affiliation the sites in this post, just sharing for fun).

Looks interesting. I think my daughter would burst into tears if she saw a snake eating mousie! (She has an imaginary mouse named mousie)
Oh, my goodness....I just came across your blog and must sign up to follow!
