September 28th is National Good Neighbor Day

Happy Good Neighbor Day! This is an official U.S. holiday which was passed by resolution in the U.S. Senate in July of 2003. Before that, it was celebrated on the last Sunday in September had has been around since the 1970's. It is a day to honor a great neighbor. Or, if you are like most of us, a day to get to know your neighbor better. A smile? A wave? A gift? Even a cup of coffee? How will you celebrate this holiday?

WOW! National Neighbor's Day right when I'm lamenting about leaving all my neighbors and moving into a new neighborhood. I must embrace the new to come and love what has been. :)

I am getting a gift ready for after school for son's best friend's birthday. Lil girl next door turning 10. Cuteness!

I am celebrating it by picking up my neighbor's prescription for her and loaning her a pc monitor. Okay, so these are things I would do for her anyway! I only know a few of my neighbors because most of them keep to themselves. We might wave or say hi but that is about it.
