Hassle Free Christmas Trees! (And how to win one)

Every year I seek out live Christmas tree tips. Last year I shared with you how to cut you own tree from national forest land (see sidebar). But alas, I understand that some are not the traipse in the woods until you find the perfect tree kind of people. And even if you were, many of you do not live where you can find an evergreen tree. So, this year I am featuring Dutchman Tree Farms. For a very reasonable rate (see their Christmas Tree rates) they will ship a tree to your front door. Shipping is FREE.  Now, before I go on, let me state this is NOT a paid review, I just think this company is amazing and am sharing this for fun.

Why do I think Dutchman Tree Farms is amazing? When I first visited their site I was incredibly impressed with the selection , price, and amount of wonderful information they provide about Christmas trees. It is obvious that they are an experienced and a well run company dedicated to their work.  But, when I contacted them asking them for details about their business and telling them I wanted to feature their site is when I truly knew they were a quality company. Here are some of the highlights:

  • The farm was started in 1972.
  •  Dutchman Tree Farms is a family owned and operated farm.
  •  Currently it is one of the largest Christmas tree farms in the nation with over 4,500 acres of Christmas trees.
  •  They offer around 14 different species of trees. (see them)
  •   Every year they offer a great online fundraiser for others. (details)
  •  Dutchman Tree Farms provides hundreds of trees each year to the Trees for Troops program. Since 2005, Trees for Troops has reached over 67,000 military families by delivering fresh Christmas trees donated by American farmers to service members and their families across the U.S.

Advantages of having a Christmas Tree shipped to you?
Avoiding icy Christmas roads, preventing scratches on your car, not every area in the U.S. has pine trees and/or your areas Christmas trees are expensive, it is one less errand to run in the busy Christmas season, or because you (like me) believe plastic trees are unhealthy and are all too quickly ushering us into an age not unlike the one found in the Charlie Brown Christmas story where he was told to go find a good metal Christmas tree. (Not that I have an opinion or anything. And even if I did, it would probably be best to cover that in a different post.)

A video about their farm:

See more of their videos here: HERE

Also you can enter to win a free tree by going to their Facebook page and entering fun photos. See the full details here. Contest open 'till November 15th 2010.

Or if you are not the contest type: you can use the coupon code: HASSLEFREE at their order site for 10% OFF the entire order.

And even if you already have your christmas tree plans set, please take a moment to visit  or share about to this wonderful  business that does
so much good for others.
Their site is: DutchmanTreeFarms.com, And you can find easy share buttons next to my comments below.
