Thanksgiving is such a lovely holiday, it is a treasure to decorate for it.
Autumn and bounty, formal and simple,
a heartwarming time to connect with family.
I started this tablescape by layering fabrics, a lace table cloth, a knitted table cloth folded to make a runner, a swatch of lace and espresso colored leaf place mats.
Added a centerpiece...
added candles...
fruits and gourds, some fabric autumn leaves, pine cones
and real apples with tea lights in them.
A serving dish.
And then the plate settings.
Some of the plates I topped with pumpkins and some with lace and pears.
The very top plate is for decoration.
As I light the candles, I set these plates to the side, leaving the salad plate ready for the guest.
Once we are finished with the salad plates they are cleared, revealing the dinner plate.
Under the dinner plate is a decorative plate that I am using as a chargers. Once the dinner plate is cleared, the green decorative plates become chargers for the dessert plate as well.
A wine glass and punch glass.
For this meal I opted to set up a pitcher of water with water goblets on a side table.
A few photos with the lights dimmed.
.
Real squash are a beautiful Autumn decoration.
Happy Thanksgiving!

Jessa your table is so pretty! The punch looks great too, very festive-enjoy:@)
Beautiful! You have your Thanksgiving table set already?! That's a great idea, but we always seem to have Christmas decorations strewn all over the table clear up until Thanksgiving week.
I always try to take pictures of my mom's lovely Thanksgiving table, but I have a junky camera and it never seems to do it justice :(
We are such fatties in our family. We use the charger plates to eat off of...because they're bigger...and we want to put as much food on our plates at one time as humanly possible.
This is beautiful, and I love the use of lace. I'm such a lace girl, but I never put it on the table. Hmmm.
And my favorite part is definitely the tea lights in the apples. I absolutely have to try that. I'll bet it lifts a wonderful fragrance into the room as a bonus.
Very pretty!
Oh I love the colors of your fabulous table!
Gorgeous!!!!! The stack of plates are stunning together. Soft whites, buttery yellows and touches of rich browns and oranges.
This is a real gem of a table!!!!
I am putting this in my "favorite fall tablescape" file.
YOu photographed this so beautifully and the look is soft and vintage!
Exquisite!

Your table is so warm and welcoming, very pretty. I love the centerpiece.
Beautiful! I love the softness of this.
I love how you've added the lace. I love lace and can't get enough of it. Beautiful settings.
What a great idea. I think I might try that-finally a use for all the vintage lace I've got.
You've brought a touch of beautiful romance to your Thanksgiving tablescape with the lovely vintage lace. I love every detail. Thank you for sharing your charming design. Cherry Kay
