Rose Bookmark {Craft & Decor}

For the coming holiday I made up some rose ribbon bookmarks for gifts.
 To make: Start by starching a piece of ribbon and fish tailing the ends. Cut two little chevrons from the ribbon and make a ribbon rose.
(See my Ribbon Rose tutorial).
 Hot glue the chevrons with a little crimp in them to the bookmark.
 And hot glue on the rose. So simple!
 It makes such a lovely gift. I made up quite a few of these little bookmarks to give to loved ones, put in my Etsy shop, and had to keep one for around my home. :)

A nice little touch in a vignette.

 I paired it with some of my favorite books: Stepping Heavenward, The Life And Letters Of Benjamin Franklin, Self-Reliance by Emerson, and Gifts of Love by Alice Chapin.
 A working music box, from a long ago dismantled jewelry box, given to my husband as a young boy by his grandmother. And now a treasure in our home.

If I was a good daughter, I'd make one of these for my sweet mother. Well....I am a good daughter, but even this seemingly simple craft is too difficult for me.

The music box workings are really something special. Wow! Luv it.
