Lenten Roses {& Party Reminder}

Lenten roses always steal my heart.
They are one of the first flowers to bloom in my cutting garden and the sight of them always makes the cold days of early spring just a little warmer.

And though the resemble wild roses they do not actually belong to the rose family. But to me... A rose by any other name... is still as lovely.

They are actually from the Hellebore family which boasts a number of lovely flowers:

This simple little bouquet is on the side table in our living room together with a romantic little Willow Tree figurine.

I have added this post to Fresh cut Friday at RoseVignettes, and to Seasonal Sundays at TheTablescaper.com visit this lovely sites to see more beautiful posts.

And just a reminder, my Easter & Spring is coming up!

The linky will be open Saturday around 4pm (pacific)
Strike that!
 It has started!! And is going on now in the sidebar!

Any post with an Easter or Spring post is welcome. Spring crafts, Easter recipes, centerpieces, decor, history, stories, whatever you blog about as long as it is within a spring or Easter theme.  I hope to see lots and lots of flowers!

What a delightful post, hellebores are a spring favourite of mine.
I don't actually have any in my garden but the green variety grows wild in the lane outside our home here in Normandy.

Your Lenten Roses are gorgeous. I've never seen them grow in full force, only a stragler here or there. Yours truly are beautiful. Thank you for bringing yours to Seasonal Sundays.
