or 'a just because' is to have cupcakes in teacups!
Planning a shower, I stumbled across this idea online, only it was to actually bake the cupcake IN a teacup. Thinking that that might be a bit dangerous for the teacup I tried just setting cupcakes in smaller teacups and they fit perfectly!
The cupcakes in this post were devoured by my children. But, for the actual shower I think I will set out side plates for the cupcakes, or possibly include two teacups per setting, one for tea and the other for the cup cake. Suggestions are welcomed!

I have made cakes in tea cups but never in my vintage ones, only ones that say that they are dishwasher/microwave safe. I think your idea of putting pre-made ones in is the best solution if you use vintage cups.
Lovely post!
Best wishes,

Oh my gosh, how sweet would that table be set with cupcake tea cups, lots of them. Great idea which I will use in the future!

Oh Natasha you are so brave! I will have to find a second hand teacup and test it out. :)

I can see these cupcake teacups for a cute tea party for little girls.
This is a darling idea. I wouldn't bake them IN the cups, either.

I used cupcakes in vintage tea cups for a ladies lunch several years ago. The cupcakes were nestled in small round paper doilies - and everything tucked into the cups. I then stacked several tea cups inside a large hurricane globe for my centerpiece - and hung others from my chandelier. It was a beautiful table, but sadly the pics were lost when transferring to a new computer. One of my big regrets... Guess I'll have to have another party so I can get more pics! So many ideas... Thanks for a great post!
