Fun and practical tips for Halloween night:
- Moms wear comfy shoes! Especially if you are doing a lot of walking tonight.
- Watch lighted pumpkins on porches so your child's costume doesn't accidentally come in contact with the flame.
- Flashlights and reflectors are so much fun, and help make kids safe.
- Glow lights, and flashing lights can be put in Jack O Lanterns to create a fun effect.
- A filling dinner before trick-or-treating is one way help your family from over indulging on candy.
- How well can your child see out of his/her mask? Small alterations might make it easier.
- Need a quick trick or treating bucket; In the days before neon colored plastic jack-o-lantern buckets, pillowcases were the standard.
- For better photos try diffusing the light with colored cellophane (red or orange) over your cameras flash.
- Pets are often frightened by all of the activity, keep them calm in another room, and watch that dogs do not get into the chocolate.
- And, of coarse, check the candy, even if your candy came from a safe event.
